Hair Smoothing Treatment at the Salon

When it comes to a formaldehyde-free hair smoothing treatment, no one has clocked more of them than Bee Sam at the salon. The challenge with a summer shoot in the blistering heat and humidity was to keep model Shawna Colton’s hair frizz free for the camera. After undergoing a hair smoothing treatment with Bee Sam, Shawna’s hair became noticeably softer and photogenic due to the silky frizz free appearance. The overall shinier effect of the hair made for excellent photographs. Although not a straightener, hair smoothing treatments can take voluminous, wavy hair into manageable territory. For this shoot Shawna wore some incredible fashion pieces from eras past and photographer Nancy Michaels was there to capture it.
